It was a chilly December afternoon when I visited the Buddy Holly museum in Lubbock, TX. This featured pic is looking out from behind Buddy’s signature glasses. Here you can see them from the front.
Across the street there is a park with a statue and stage for local events.
And the building where the items are housed, along with the plaque
The exhibit itself is small, fitting into a single room. The most surprising item is the actual glasses on display that are much more detailed that the frames on sculpture or the cheap shades on sale in the gift shop. You do not see a pic of them here because no photos are allowed inside. The actual specs are sweet. Other notables are the guitars with their history and a great story about Buddy’s Indian motorcycle.
And with that you about have it for this stop.
